Documents You Will Need to Complete Your FAFSA

Other Important Things to Consider…

In order to digitally sign and use certain tools within the FAFSA, you need to create an FSA ID.

Once you have gathered your documents and created your FSA ID, you can start your application at FAFSA.ed.gov.

Do not use any site other than FAFSA.ed.gov to complete your FAFSA and never pay to complete it. The first “F” stands for “free”!

If you are a dependent student, you will also need to provide the information listed in the chart to the left for your parent(s). One parent will also need to create their own FSA ID.
